MELD’s focus on learning, means training is at the heart of what we do.
Standardised Training: We offer a number of online courses covering different aspects of pedagogy from behaviour management through to phonics delivery. Our courses are designed to be taken over a six-week period, supported by online tutorials. By working over longer time periods the learning tasks are more meaningful, grounded in actual practice, with an impact that is more profound that the typical one or two days of training that typically occurs at the start of each term.
Bespoke Training: MELD is able to work with individual schools, or education groups, to design bespoke training solutions. These can be delivered face-to-face, online or via a blended approach. Designed in dialogue with the institution(s), the intention is to address specific needs
Staff Research: Moving from satisfactory delivery towards excellence requires personalisation of approach towards the specific context of your school and students. We can work with staff to train and support them as they begin exploring research approaches, building from intuitive ‘tinkering’ to systematic processes for ongoing development and improvement.
Leadership Training: We can support staff as they move from classroom based roles and into education management. Covering topics such as effective communication, team building, decision-making and strategic planning, we aim to nurture effective education leaders.
